About Ventura County Legal Services, Inc.

Ventura County Legal Services, Inc. was formed to address the Justice Gap in Ventura County - that is, the lack of access to our justice system that so many people in our community face.  It is a much bigger problem than most people realize, and one of the factors contributing to poverty in Ventura County.  Ventura County Superior Court does what it can to help, operating self-help centers to the extent that it is able to do so.  But it is not enough to serve everyone in need, and it, of course, is not a substitute for actual legal representation. 

If you are an indigent Ventura County resident with a matter pending in Ventura County Superior Court, and are unable to afford an attorney, you may be eligible for attorney representation through VCLS.  Please see our Eligibility page for more information.
